ok, i'm about to take the plunge... i've ripped out some of the carpet, i'm going to continue with the prep. tonight i'm buying some flooring. then saturday my dad is coming over and we're installing it. hallway first, but i hope to move on to the study. this is bad news for ron, who loves his new deskal arrangement and has only had it briefly... but the floor is so disgusting it MUST be done. wish me luck. i really think this is an easy job, after all, on trading spaces they do a room overnight all the time with this laminate stuff. it's just moving all the furniture that's so nasty.

Right on little sister, if they can do it on trading spaces, well, you can too.
You can make anything hon! You can do it.
I'm getting ready to replace my ceilings here. The ice storm that we had a month ago caused water damage to every ceiling in my house...I think I'm going to use a type of ceder board to fix the problem, rather than drywall. I can do the ceder myself, drywall I would have to hire out.
Good luck and good laying! xx, Lori
Good luck! I love laminate floors. It is supposed to just snap together right?
