About Me

Name::ron st.amant
From::Toronto, Ontario, CA
I'm an American living in Canada because my wife made me...no, no it was my choice...see honey, I said it! In September of '05 we had our first child and the rollercoaster got even more scary. Oh and I'm probably coughing...or complaining about it.

Whine with Cheese

I want this cough to stop. I want a cease and desist letter signed by brain, heart, lungs...whichever has jurisdiction. This is getting frustrating. I really hope we won $17 million dollars tonight in the lottery. You know why? Well because I'd $17 million dollars...well probably less than that, but still, if Ihad somewhat close to $17 million I bet I'd be able to find someone who could fix my cough.

I've been trying to rest today, and for the most part I've rested, in the definition of 'not doing something' equals resting...but I've been coughing which doesn't really allow me to 'rest'. I even tried to take a nap.

Also, I haven't received an email, from anyone, concering anything, the entire day. I mean, what? even the spammers have gotten bored with me and have better things to do??

I'd even kill for one of those 'I have $40 million in diamonds sitting in a vault by I can't get to it for 3 days, however if you wire me $20,000 I can get access to the vault tomorrow and I'll give you 10%' emails. Those are fun. Because they actually believe I have $20,000.

Yesterday I saw a Ferrari AND a Lambourghini (which is probably spelled wrong but I can't even be bothered to google the correct spelling at this point).

I just had a caramel.

I don't know why but I felt like throwing that in there.

Do you think if you had to you could live off Skittles? The original Skittles, not the new-froo-froo flavors...

I wished you guys lived in Canada...then I could send you something with a Canadian stamp- I have these cool Canadian Wine and Cheese stamps...they have pictures of wine and cheese, hence the name.

Yes, I am bored...how could you tell??

Now I gotta see the Canadian stamps you’re referring too, snap us a pic will ya?

Skittles as a staple, hmm, I’ve snagged ‘em for a snack at school when my sugar’s low and I need a little pick me up, but I think if I ate too many of them, as in steady diet, my tongue would ulcerate, and I might turn colors like the blueberry gum girl in Willie Wonka…ump pa lump a do pity do…..

I hope that danged ol' cough takes off soon!

Bored....? But you're a student. The only way you can truly be bored is if you're majorly procrastinating:P
This week is going to be rough with the studying and the essay writing. Let me know if you're up for meeting for a Robarts coffee at some point. I have a feeling I'll be living around there or munk centre until these horrible and long papers are due.

p.s. Awesome pics. Squirrel just too cute and that dome thing, it's so X-menish. Who knew that it could be found on our little campus!!

p.p.s I should really be off the computer and on the writing of the presentation I have to do tomorrow...

I used to get that kind of cough, what worked for me was a homeopathic rememdy, the one I have is phosphorous 30x, but there are others that will work, combined with constant water drinking. Hope it helps, and the sugar is probably making it worse- sorry.

Sometimes a cough can be caused by acid reflux. Maybe you could try some Maalox.

You do sound rather bored. I know you're missin' your girls.

Ron, darling: If it were possible to survive on Skittles, I would be first in line.

I should be honest -- occasionally, I would cheat on the Skittles.

I would crouch in the darkness of my closet nibbling on Pull-N-Peel Twizzlers -- preferrably the berry flavored ones. It wouldn't happen very often, because I do dearly love my Skittles, but, say, once every four or six months, I would skitter off into the darkness of my closet with the Twizzlers, and I would tie them, oh-so-lovingly, into many fascinating and beautiful macrame knots before devouring them in all of their sticky, chewy, soft berry-flavored goodness.

I AM A SUGAR FREAK! And I love stuff that STICKS to my TEETH!

Now that I've admitted as much, I want to ask you to do me a favor on your own behalf: until the cough subsides, please keep mistress sugar and mistress milk/cheese/butter AND mistress wheat at a good arm's length. Tell them you will return to them soon, and you will love them even better than before, but for now, you just need a little space, so your body can reduce mucous production, and the bacteria/virus/germy whatevers will lose their toe-hold. I know it's a lot to ask, but it will help the cough go away sooner.

I can't remember what else I was going to say about the other two posts I read, so I'll be back tomorrow, spewing comments you just don't want to hear :-)

(Oh, yeah -- reading the Russians after the autumnal equinox is dicey business. Take extra vitamin-D, and they might seem a bit cheerier!)
